Registered Manager Webinar (in partnership with the CQC)

  • Care and Support West Gladstone Drive Bristol, England, BS16 4RU United Kingdom (map)

This webinar, delivered in partnership with the CQC, will explore the regulations, best practice, advice and practical tools around medicines optimisation in all care settings. People accessing care and support often require help with their medication and medicines remains one of the more common areas of unsafe practice amongst services rated inadequate or requires improvement.

Social care providers have a responsibility to ensure proper and safe use of medicines and treatments that meet people’s needs, capacities and preferences by enabling them to be involved in planning, including when changes happen.

You will have an opportunity to help shape the content of the webinar at the point of registration, by identifying your priority topics.

We will not have time to cover all topics, so we welcome your feedback during the registration process on your priority topics listed below.

  • Electronic medicine administration records (eMars) vs paper records – what good looks like

  • Management and recording of topical medications, including creams

  • Administration of covert medicines

  • Working with others to optimise the management of medications, including pharmacies and families

  • Supporting with over-the-counter medication and homely remedies To access parts 1 and 2 of the RM medication webinar recordings that were delivered in partnership with the CQC, where other medication topics were covered, please visit here.
