Care and Support West are here support you…

Joining together small and medium-sized care providers, we have become a powerful voice. We inform, represent, celebrate and influence change for the direct benefit of the sector, our membership and your individual business.

Who are we?

Care and Support West is a representative body for companies, charities, organisations, and individuals involved in social care, support, and health sectors in the West of England.

  • We give Care Providers a voice in the strategic direction of the future of health and social care services.

  • We ensure Care Providers and others involved in the sector are treated and funded fairly.

  • We have input into policies and regulations through consultation and lobbying locally and internationally.

  • We help to maintain quality of service provision in the interest of services users and our sector’s profile.

How we represent you?

We meet quarterly with commissioners to discuss sector pressures and initiatives. These meetings provide us - and you - with opportunities to influence local change. Care and Support West Directors also influence via jointly charing Care Provider Forums in Bristol, South Glos and North Somerset and being present in the B&NES forums.

We meet regularly with Professor Martin Green, CEO of Care England, a national organisation with direct links to Government. we also meet quarterly with the Regional Head of CQC.

What our members say

“I want the security of an umbrella group; I’m not big enough to take on CQC and LAs; and can challenge them via C&SW so as not to risk being picked off by commissioners.”

“Austerity measures are still getting worse; we need to be a strong group.”

“We receive individual response/advice as well as making useful contacts.”

“I think for small independently run businesses joining C&SW is a no-brainer.”

“It gives me the connections I need, to be as up to speed as I can".”

“The consistent support C&SW has provided during the COVID-19 pandemic has been extremely timely and helpful during this challenging year.”
