Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, celebrations of the vitally important work delivered by key workers in social care have dominated public discourse. As part of our Living Wage for Key Workers campaign, the Living Wage Foundation are launching a toolkit for care providers interested in tackling low pay and in-work poverty by becoming accredited Living Wage Employers.

This roundtable discussion and launch event will bring together our network of accredited Living Wage Employers in social care, non-accredited care providers, and local authorities that commission care, in order to demonstrate the benefits and process of implementing the Living Wage.

We will be joined by a number of speakers to discuss this, including:

  • Graham Griffiths - Director, Living Wage Foundation

  • Sara Johnson - Senior Programme Manager, Living Wage Foundation

  • Nick Pennell - Finance Director, Borough Care

  • More speakers TBA

A Zoom link for the event will be sent to all attendees a few days prior to the launch. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Kezia Pugh (kezia.pugh@livingwage.org.uk) if you have any questions about the event. We very much look forward to seeing you there.
