Members of Care and Support West are required to observe the following Code of Conduct:
Act in such a manner as to enhance the reputation of care and support services in general and as a member of Care and Support West in particular.
Provide a standard of care that encourages the people we provide services for to have as high a quality of life as possible within their physical, intellectual and emotional potential and taking their individual needs into account.
Ensure the services you provide are safe, effective, caring and well led.
Provide a quality and caring service for people.
Develop and maintain a clear staff wellbeing process to regularly support staff through supervision and other systems
Administer your service(s) in a professional, proper, legally sound and safe manner.
Adhere to all legislative and regulatory requirements and keep proper records in accordance with these.
Be honest, ethical and sympathetic in all dealings with people using your service(s), in relation to their financial and wellbeing affairs, their family and friends and maintain the same standards in all business dealings and with other members of the Association.
Uphold the current policies of Care and Support West.
Encourage and facilitate the monitoring of your service(s) by officers of the association whenever required and provide appropriate information on request about your service(s) as a member.
Ensure proper procedures are in place to ensure the sustainability of the business, the quality of care and support to the people using your service(s) and the well-being of the staff
Encourage and support a philosophy of continuous improvement in care and support provision and promote life-long learning with your staff.
