CQC submission reminder

Please be reminded that CQC submissions are due NOW.

Important Reminders

  • CT Provider contacts are not kept up to date. If an individual no longer works for a provider, CT must be updated to ensure the correct contact information is held.

  • Multiple Users - We recommend that there is more than one user registered per provider who can update CT, to cover periods of absence

  • Active providers on Capacity Tracker with 0 service users - providers advised to submit a nil return.

  • Going Abroad? - Users are reminded that CT is not accessible outside of the UK

  • CQC is not always notified about changes so the data is not always up to date. For example: a setting is now dormant, changed ownership or closed locations. CQC must be notified as soon as possible to ensure we store the correct data and mitigate against the risk of being issued with a penalty. CQC National CS: 03000 616161, enquiries@cqc.org.uk

  • If a provider is no longer active, but still appears in CT – please notify CQC to de-register them.

  • If a brand new CQC regulated provider has yet to appear in CT & needs to be onboarded – please notify CQC as we cannot create provider accounts!

  • Where a provider has more than one location, but unsure if they should update information for each location. Providers should submit an update for all settings and locations, failing to do so will reflect as non-compliance.

  • Providers unsure if they should provide update for both types of provisions they offer. Where both home and residential care are offered by the same provider, said provider must update data for each care type.

Adult Social Care data enforcement commenced 1 April 2023

This means ASC providers who fail to submit their data through CT each month could be issued with a financial penalty. The guidance on how to comply with the information provisions in the Health and Care Act 2022 and how they will be enforced is available online. We encourage all providers to read through the guidance to ensure they are aware of what is expected and how to be compliant. If providers have any further Qs or need advice, please contact the Team at capacitytracker-guidance@dhsc.gov.uk.

Collection windows are open between the 8th and 14th day of each month (or the next working day where the 14th falls on a weekend or public holiday).

To be compliant, providers must submit their data during the collection window
