Mental Capacity Awareness & Practical Updates Workshop (January 2022)
Designed for social care providers looking to increase awareness of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). This awareness will help when developing strategies to support an individual to make decisions and reduce the risk of depriving someone of their liberty, especially during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
We invite Kate Barnes from South Gloucestershire Council to give us a quick update on the Proud to Care winter campaign. Then we shall be joined by Dameon Caddy from North Somerset Council for an update on the Mental Capacity Act. Finally, we will provide a brief overview of the Workforce Development Fund and how this might boost your training budget.
