Establishing Wellbeing Support for Social Care Workers Workshop (February 2022)

 

Designed for Owners, Registered and Deputy Managers in all services. Today we are took a look at the support for staff wellbeing and the benefits felt by someone who speaks from experience of engaging with HTNS. We also we have two social care Managers from different types of services asking questions on everyone’s behalf.

Steve shared his experience of engaging with Healthier Together Network Support and the benefits for him and his team - this a few points he made.

Help for me personally as a well-being lead.  Knew we needed help but didn’t know where to start, budget.   Came just at the right time

Things that have been very well received:

  • Assessment service and follow up with clinical psychologists

  • Menopause conference – eg person who attended got help rather than going off sick

  • Pause and reflect sessions

  • Training – Managing Wellbeing, dealing with pressure, workload.  Trauma

  • Nilaari

  • Funding of places for REACTMH training (how to have a supportive mental health conversation)

 

Looking ahead:

  • New Trauma support service

  • Developing healthy lifestyles/physical health offer:

  • Wellbeing champions

  • Keep active

  • Health checks

  • Coaching
