Care England is pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of the Care Planning Tool. The tool will help care providers answer the questions:
How should we create and record a care plan for a new user of our service?
When and how should we review a care plan for an existing user of our service?
How should we approach care planning for someone who might lack capacity to consent to the care and support that is in their best interests?
How do we create and record care plans that conform with the spirit and the letter of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA)?
As part of the launch of the Tool, Care England is hosting a webinar with Rachel Griffiths, Mental Capacity and Human Rights Specialist, on Tuesday 19 September 14:00-15:00. The webinar will clarify how to use this Tool – and the wider MCA – in delivering human rights-based and lawful care, as demonstrated in on dynamic care plans. There will be time for questions and discussion.
