Investment boost to support neighbourhood health centres in Bristol
Charlotte Keel Medical Practice and Montpelier Health Centre are set to be transformed into Neighbourhood Health Centres following £600k funding provided by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
£400k has been committed to Charlotte Keel Medical Practice to repurpose the vacant pharmacy space.
£200k has been committed to Montpelier Health Centre (pictured) to support the reconfiguration of the building to change how the building is laid out.
These practices are two of just 27 facilities in the country that have received funding from DHSC at this stage.

Improving services
GP practice set for major expansion
Coniston Medical Practice in Patchway is set for significant expansion works thanks to £916,566 Utilisation and Modernisation Funding from NHS England as well as £468,000 through S106 funding from the Filton Airfield housing development.
The works, set to begin in the coming weeks, will involve the conversion of the practice’s vacant pharmacy space to create eight new consulting rooms bringing the total number of consulting rooms at the practice to 17.
This additional space is estimated to deliver 24,960 additional appointments annually.
