Care Certificate Updated: Standard 16 Now Included!
The Care Certificate, originally developed by Skills for Health, Health Education England, and Skills for Care, has undergone a significant update. In 2025, a comprehensive review of the standards was conducted by Skills for Health and Skills for Care, with valuable input from NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care. As a result, the revised Care Certificate now includes 16 standards, reflecting the evolving needs and expectations in health and social care.
