Survey - Sustainability and Food Waste in the Care Sector.

We would be grateful if you could take 10 minutes to complete the survey linked below on Sustainability and Food Waste in the care sector.

The purpose of the survey is to gather practical insights from care providers to better understand where food waste occurs in care home catering, the cost and operational pressures it creates and what support is needed to help providers meet legislative requirements and sustainability goals in catering, without compromising on quality, nutrition, or resident choice.

The findings of the survey will be used to:

  • Identify common cost drivers, and challenges and barriers to progress linked to reducing food waste and environmental sustainability

  • Highlight effective approaches already being used in care homes and the areas for further development and support

  • Inform future guidance that helps providers reduce waste and improve environmental sustainability, as well as meet legislative obligations.
