The Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) and Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training (‘Oliver’s Training’)
DHSC will be providing funding to support rollout of Oliver’s Training to the adult social care sector as part of the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) in Autumn 2025.
This funding will be specific to Oliver’s Training and separate to the overall LDSS funding already available for other training and qualifications.
Training completed between April 2025 and March 2026 will be eligible for reimbursement.

On this webinar, we will share an overview of the Oliver McGowan Code of Practice, which sets out how CQC registered providers can meet the statutory training on learning disability and autism appropriate to their staffs’ roles.
We will be joined by the Department of Health and Social Care and CQC, where we will explain what the Code of Practice covers, provide an overview of Oliver’s Training, detail what support is available and describe how the CQC will use the Code of Practice and considering compliance with the learning disability and autism training requirement.
