Integrated Care System newsletter - July
The Government's 10 Year Health Plan has now been launched.
The plan is centred around the three shifts: hospital to community, analogue to digital and sickness to prevention.
It has been shaped by the experiences and expectations of members of the public and the health and care workforce across the country, reflecting the changes that people wanted to see.
In addition to the nationally led surveys, we heard from more than 900 people through local events, and we would like to thank everyone who took part.
The NHS spends an estimated £300m on unused medicines each year. We need your help to reduce this.
Every pound spent on wasted medicines is a pound less than can be spent on delivering NHS services and everyone has a part to play in reducing medicines waste.
You can help by:
• Planning ahead
• Keeping track of what medication you’re taking
• Only ordering the medicines you need.
Find out more about medicines waste on the Healthier Together website.
