Safeguarding adults deep dive information gathering process

 

Dear colleagues,

I am writing today to advise you of a small change to our safeguarding procedures.

In January 2025 we implemented a process of ‘deep dive’ information gathering as part of our safeguarding decision-making process. What this means for you as care providers is that there may be an occasion where we seek increased evidence and assurances at this early stage in the safeguarding process.

We expect to undertake 20-25 deep dives overall during the next twelve months.

If we select a concern for deep-dive decision-making relating to your service, we will inform you at the outset.
