A new community of innovation pioneers and change-makers is forming in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

Health Innovation West of England, in partnership with NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Integrated Care Board (ICB), is launching a new Fellowship as part of the Innovate Healthier Together programme.

To launch the Fellowship, we are welcoming anyone with an interest in health and care innovation in BNSSG to a special event in Bristol on 1 May, hosted by our Chair and Vice-Chancellor of UWE, Professor Sir Steve West CBE.

Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to co-design the roadmap for the programme, connecting with other change-makers in health and care, and learning from research and insights into current attitudes around innovation set to be shared by NIHR Applied Research Collaborative (ARC) West.

The local collaboration between Health Innovation West of England and NIHR ARC West focused on the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme. This funds non-GP healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and paramedics, to work in primary care.
