Survey for care homes to complete
The BNSSG Vaccination Subgroup is keen to understand the uptake of booster vaccine in care home staff a bit more, including whether issues such as the number of outbreaks and the mandatory vaccination requirement is having any influence. Rebecca Weston from the BNSSG Mass Vaccination Programme (r.weston2@nhs.net) would like to undertake some interviews with care home staff to look at this further. This is not about persuading people to be vaccinated, it is purely to understand reasons why people don’t want to have a booster jab.
Ideally, we would like staff to be able to participate during their working hours so they get paid. Each interview shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. The interviews can take place remotely, eg Zoom or telephone or if there are a few staff happy to be interviewed in a particular home, Rebecca can attend the care home in person.
No one who is interviewed will be able to be identifiable. We are purely interested in understanding reasons why some people are not coming forward. There will be absolutely no pressure put on anyone to be vaccinated. The interviews will be supplemented with the survey monkey below:
Please contact Rebecca Weston direct should your staff be willing to participate in this exercise.
