WHAT BEING A WINNER MEANT TO ME: JULIE

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who nominated me as well as all the people who were involved in giving the award,

"I would like to thank David Smallacombe and everyone involved with Care and Support West for allowing me to attend the ceremony held at such a lovely venue The Bath Racecourse, the venue and setting made it even more special and I really did feel like a star.

I am so pleased to win the Registered Managers award it was such an amazing experience and it is an honour to be running such an amazing Care Home environment, this was certainly an experience to remember.

All the people were friendly and very professional, but it wasn’t just my role that made this possible I would not have been there if it wasn’t for the people I care for, their families and friends, my dedicated staff and Manager Mrs Ann Rogers, whom I would like to thank for employing me over 20 years ago.

I love my job role and helping residents to feel safe and well looked after. This award has given me confidence to keep telling myself I’m making a difference to peoples lives. So thank you very much I couldn’t have done it without all those who have shown and given me support. This has made me feel valued and sometimes a lot of negative things are quoted about care homes and these yearly events are truly inspirational to all those who work in care."
