Advice on asymptomatic COVID testing

BNSSG Healthier Together and Bristol City Council Public Health feel that it would be prudent for care providers to consider this, as the NHS is asking all NHS Trusts to take this action;

Please can we remind you that, although asymptomatic COVID testing has been paused, it is our expectation that UKHSA will require us to re-start at some point over the Autumn/Winter period.  It is important that care providers who previously undertook asymptomatic COVID testing have sufficient stock of lateral flow devices (LFD) on hand to allow you to restart testing at short notice.  Therefore please check your current stock (particularly expiry dates) and order sufficient to cover a 4-6 week period of testing during which normal ordering patterns can resume.
