Therapeutic yoga service
Welcome to Heart Within Yoga, we are passionate about delivering Therapeutic yoga for children and adults with special needs. We have a simple vision to help others, especially those with additional needs, to break the physical and mental boundaries and live life to the fullest.
Heart Within Yoga goes beyond traditional yoga practices by integrating sensory and visual resources, modelling and modifying yoga poses, social stories and creative games.
We pride ourselves on being a unique company that helps to unlock the true potential that resides within everyone.
Here is the summary of my employment history:
◇ In 2008 I've worked as a HCA in a Nursing home Dementia Unit
◇In 2009/2011 I've worked as a Special Needs Assistant
◇ Between 2012 and 2017 I've worked as a Support Worker for Milestone Trust and Aspirations Support in Bristol.
◇ In 2017/ 2018 I've worked as a bank HCA in RUH Bath.
◇In 2018 I started to work as a Teaching Assistant in Kingsweston Special school in Bristol
◇ since 2019 I run weekly classes of yoga for staff wellbeing and Therapeutic Yoga for children with additional needs in Kingsweston school Bristol
Also, regular Therapeutic yoga classes in Newport at Ysgol bryn drew Special school and Maes Ebbw Special School
I teach Inclusive &Accessible Therapeutic yoga for adults too.
I run regular sessions in various care homes across Newport and Bristol, plus
I offer regular weekly classes at Emerson's green village hall.
I also, drive to a private clients to for one to one sessions, some of them suffer from MS, Storke, Brain injuries.
I do lots of sport /fun events for children and adults with special needs that are hold by different organisations such as: Sparkle in Newport, Mencap Keynsham Inigiate Bristol, NSPCWT etc
Here are my qualifications:
Advanced Certificate in Disability Education level 6 (IRL)
Diploma level 3 in Teaching Yoga
Yoga for Autism, Neurodiversity and Diverse Needs
Yoga Teacher Certification with emphasis on inclusion and Accessibility
Chair Yoga
Yoga in the Classroom
