Wellbeing Webinar - Support session for our Care Teams

  • Care and Support West Gladstone Drive Bristol, England, BS16 4RU United Kingdom (map)

Session overview

December can be an especially demanding time for people working in care, with increased pressures on teams, changing routines, staffing challenges and the additional demands of the Christmas period.

This interactive and positive webinar will explore stress and resilience in the context of busy caring roles, helping attendees understand what happens in the brain and body when we experience prolonged stress and how this can contribute to exhaustion and burnout.

The session will combine accessible neuroscience, practical wellbeing strategies and solution-focused thinking, with opportunities for attendees to reflect on their own wellbeing and identify what can help them navigate the weeks ahead.

The overall aim is to leave people feeling more informed, more equipped and more positive about managing the Christmas period.

Session outcomes

By the end of the webinar, attendees will:

  • Have a clearer understanding of what happens in the brain and body when we experience stress and why prolonged stress can leave us feeling depleted.

  • Be better able to recognise their own early signs of stress and overload, before they reach the point of exhaustion.

  • Have a range of simple, practical strategies they can use to manage stress and protect their energy during busy periods.

  • Understand that resilience is not about simply “pushing through”, but about recognising what we need, responding effectively and creating opportunities for recovery.

  • Have reflected on what is within their control, particularly during a busy and sometimes unpredictable time of year.

  • Develop a simple, realistic approach to protecting their own wellbeing over the Christmas period.

  • Leave feeling more confident, supported and hopeful about navigating the demands ahead.

The session will be warm, encouraging and interactive, recognising the realities of working in care while giving people practical tools they can use both at work and at home.

We hope you will join us for this session and please do share with your colleagues.
