This online event hosted by the South West NHSE Learning Disability and Autism Programme Team has been organised in response to learning from LeDeR, which identified dysphagia as one of the top 5 long-term conditions experienced by people with a learning disability who lived in the South West and died in 2021.

The event will provide an opportunity to reflect on LeDeR findings, share learning from across the region, and time to consider with colleagues the issues impacting on the management of dysphagia for people with a learning disability. It will also help inform the regional strategy for improving the management of dysphagia.

We welcome participation from:

• Health and social care commissioners and leaders

• LeDeR local area contacts and reviewers

• Health and social carer providers

• People with lived experience

• Regional colleagues with an interest in this topic
