The North & West Bristol Locality Partnership wants to enable wellbeing and support healthy communities. We know that being well is so much more than not being ill. It is about feeling welcome and being connected with friends, family and neighbours. It is also about practical things, such as spending time in green space, having access to nutritious food, reducing money worries and living in good quality housing. These ‘social determinants of health’ are themes VCFSE sector organisations work with day to day.
We want to create a North and West Bristol where the VCFSE, health and care sectors are integrated in a way that best serves our population. We would like to enable people in North and West Bristol to be well by ensuring they can access the right support at the right time. When people do become ill, our aim is that services better meet their needs and are more joined up, so individuals only have to tell their story once. We hope by working together, celebrating diversity, and listening to communities, we will increase equity and improve the lives of people who live and work in our locality.
Workshops
We are running a series of workshops for VCFSE sector organisations and community workers in North & West Bristol to hear about the changes happening in health and care. These sessions offer a chance to discuss how this shift may affect the people and communities you work with and an opportunity to consider the relevance of the changes to your organisation. We will also explore how to get involved, influence, feed valuable community insights into – and hear back from – the wider system.
