Section 6: All too often adult social care services are the least consulted and most impacted by forces that constrain and destabilise the sector. Given that in their recently released ‘The state of health care and adult social care in England 2019/20’ report, CQC state that ‘The legacy of COVID-19 must be the recognition that issues around funding, staffing and operational support need to be tackled now – not at some point in the future’.
