OMMT Stakeholder Updates

Couple of updates following the last OMMT Stakeholder Meeting.

  • The National Autistic Society have received funding to run some 4 day Lead Trainer Courses (Tier 2).  This accredits you to deliver Tier 2 training and train up facilitators / co-trainers to deliver Tier 2 training.   A session is running in Bristol (ICB Offices, 100 Temple Street, Bristol) on 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th Jan 2027.  The course is free to access for a limited time.  If you would like to nominate someone from your organisation please contact me directly as nominations need to come from the ICB

  • A discussion took place during the meeting around the difficulty with sourcing a co-trainer with lived experience of a learning disability to deliver the training.  For those who are accredited facilitators/lead trainers, you should have access to NHS Futures OMMT.  Many freelance co-trainers check this site.  It may be worth a post on there stating what you are looking for (dates, locations etc) and whether travel support is available.  I’ve been advised that posts often generate a positive response from freelance co-trainers and often people are happy to travel, providing travel is paid.

  • As a reminder AWP and the ICB have some capacity to offer paid for spaces to organisations.  For AWP please contact Vanessa Ongley, for ICB please contact bnssg.ommtbookings@nhs.net

Many Thanks
