Supporting Your Team with Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training – Guidance & Resources
FAO: North Somerset Providers
We know that many of you are already well underway with the training, and if this is the case for you that is fantastic.
However, we've noticed that some services are still unsure about the requirements or may not have started yet. We want to ensure that everyone has the information and support they need.
A common misconception is that the training only applies to services that primarily support people with a learning disability or autistic people.
However, the training is intended to improve the care and support provided across health and social care settings, and many staff working in older people's services and other adult social care settings will still be required to complete it, depending on their role.
Please watch this short six-minute video that outlines the training tiers, the legal background, and why this training is so important: https://youtu.be/eNOnpuwR1cU
