End of Life Webinar - 5 November 2024, 10.00 to 2.00
An online event on the 5h November, hosted by the South West NHS England Learning Disability and Autism Programme Team, to celebrate excellent work across the region and shine a light at the end of life care.
The aim is to share innovative and creative ideas, engaging in meaningful discussion about death and dying with people who have a learning disability. This will include advanced planning and hearing the voices of those with profound learning disabilities.
This event will provide an interactive space and welcome anybody with a passion for improving End of life care for people with a learning disability. Bringing together an array of knowledge and skills we hope to use this opportunity to develop a piece of improvement work that will be taken forwards across the South West. A full outline of the session and details of speakers to follow. Click on this link to book your space: End of Life Webinar | NHS England Events
Protecting workers’ rights in the care sector – a HMRC NMW webinar with GLAA and EAS
Paying the National Minimum Wage (NMW) correctly and protecting your workers’ rights is a vital part of being an employer in the care sector. We know it isn’t always straightforward, and mistakes are easy to make.
HMRC, Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) and Employment Agency Standards (EAS) inspectorate all work to support employers in avoiding those mistakes and get things right first time.
Protecting workers’ rights in the care sector – a joint HMRC NMW, EAS and GLAA webinar
HMRC’s National Minimum Wage team are offering live webinars where they will be joined by colleagues from the GLAA and EAS – talking through common issues found in the care sector, and how employers can protect their workers’ rights. There will also be a panel of experts on hand from all 3 organisations to answer questions on the topic.
