2024/25 NHS-funded Nursing Care rate

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has announced the 2024/2025 rate for NHS-funded Nursing Care (FNC) of £235.88 for the standard rate and £324.50 for the higher rate, effective from the 1st April 2024, which equates to a 7.4% increase. More information is available.

The rate has been informed by a cost collection exercise, run via Capacity Tracker last year and relates to the cost of providing the nursed element within residential care services only. It does not consider non-nursing staff costs which inflate at the National Living Wage, nor does it consider CPI inflation related to non-staff costs. 

This result is a testament to our collective efforts and wider government lobbying for the review.
