Care Data Matters – final edition published
DHSC has published the final version of Care Data Matters, their strategy and roadmap for the transformation adult social care data.
The strategy aims to outline “collective priorities for how social care data is collected, shared and used, and how we improve the quality and availability of adult social care data, at both national and local levels”.
It includes a positive reference to achievements of the programme: “Supported by the Better Security, Better Care programme, over 66% of CQC registered care providers have completed the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) - improving understanding of data and cyber security risks and measuring compliance with key cyber standards.
As of October 2023, 64% of care providers meet (or exceed) these standards.”
