AMBER Cold Health Alert for the Southwest

 

An AMBER Cold-Health Alert is in place for the Southwest for between 11/01/2024 at 12:00 and 18/01/2024 at 12:00

The period covered by the alert has been extended until 18 January and the Overall Risk Score is YELLOW (10) suggesting significant impacts are possible across the health and social care sector due to forecast weather conditions.

Please see the attached, considering the impacts on your Business Continuity and relevant actions within your own service plans.

The EMU will continue to monitor all alerts and warnings received and will cascade updates and changes to the forecast. At this stage we will not be activating the Severe Weather Co-ordination Group, however, please raise any Business Continuity issues to the EMU to allow us to consider activating the Severe Weather Co-ordination Group if required.
