ROSEDALE HOUSE OPEN DAY SUCCESS

Resident manager Julie Edwards was delighted with the success of the Care Home Open Day they organised in July. "We do try to work with our community, working with four local schools and with several organisations who come into our home to enrich the lives of our residents. We wanted to give something back and held the Open Day for them really; we really wanted to celebrate!"

The residents were delighted to see Kizzy from 'Dogs For Therapy again and there were activities ranging from Face Painting to Pin the Tail on the Donkey. There was singing and dancing with residents sharing their memories with songs from the war like 'Roll out the barrel' whilst the children introduced the older folk to their favourite songs such as hits from Justin Beiber! The kitchen staff made more than 100 cream teas which went down a storm.
