Worker Protection Act guide

With International Women’s Day behind us, the focus on gender equality and workplace safety continues. Since 26 October 2024, the Worker Protection Act placed a new legal duty on employers to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment—shifting the responsibility from reacting to incidents to actively preventing them.

This means businesses must:

  • Review policies and procedures

  • Conduct risk assessments

  • Ensure clear reporting and preventative measures

To help you prepare, our Commercial Partner Citation have created a free ‘Worker Protection Act’ guide explaining what’s changing, how third-party harassment is covered, and the steps employers must take before the deadline.
