BSW Preceptorship Programme - Free Access

The BSW Academy are delighted to announce that across BSW, there is an agreed partnership approach for delivery of the BSW Core preceptorship programme.

As part of the work of the system project group, they identified an ambition to ensure that all newly qualified healthcare professional across BSW (Nurses and AHPs), could all access equally a preceptorship programme, no matter the size of their first employer, post registration.

We are aware that smaller organisations such a hospices / nursing homes etc may only employ small numbers of newly qualified staff on an infrequent basis and delivery of a preceptorship programme may not be possible and pragmatic with such small numbers.  We are also aware that smaller organisations may not always have training departments and resources to facilitate such a programme.

As such the BSW employers are dedicated to offering a partnership model of delivery to you.

This means that your Preceptees can access the BSW Core Preceptorship Programme in your locality as follows:

  • Banes – RUH Bath

  • Swindon – GWH Swindon

  • Wiltshire – Wiltshire Health and Care
